Early African and Asian Christianity
Most Christians think about church history as running parallel with the history of Western civilization. They trace the beginnings of Christianity in the Roman Empire to the Reformation in Europe to the Great Awakening in North America. But Christian history is much broader than that. From its inception at Pentecost, the Church has had a presence in Africa and Asia.
In this course, Dr. Vince Bantu explores the deep roots of Christianity in the non-Western world. You will learn about important Christian leaders and thinkers that helped spread the gospel in Ethiopia and Syria, in West Africa and Southeast Asia. Expand your understanding of how God, from the beginning, has worked to further his Kingdom.
